Summary
God created everything in 6 days, then rested. He then created Adam, then the animals, whom Adam named one by one. God then created a female out of Adam’s rib and told both of them not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge. A serpent convinced the female to eat from it anyway, and she in turn gave some to Adam. They then realized they were naked, so when when God was walking around looking for Adam, they hid. God asked if they ate from the Tree of Knowledge, and they admitted it.
Because of this sin, God told the female she would have great pain giving birth, and told Adam he would have to work the land to get food from it. Adam then names the female Eve, most likely meaning “to give life” since she would give birth to all people. Realizing that if they ate from the Tree of Life they would live forever God kicked them out of Eden and put angelic beings there to guard the garden, and a flaming sword to guard the tree.
My Questions
Genesis 1:26. Why does God use the pronoun “us?” Who else is with God during the creation?
Genesis 3:22. Again God uses the plural pronoun “we.”
Is he referring to the other angelic beings in Heaven with him?
Is he referring to Jesus and the Holy Spirit?
Is God British and used the royal we?
