Ars technica posed an interesting question to gamers. If you’re playing a rhythem game that used the N-word in the lyrics, would you sing it?

Those of us who grew up in the Southern USA are keenly aware how hurtful and hateful racial words like that can be, so it’s inclusion in a video game for kids to play is a bit shocking.

I know I don’t want my kids to use those words, even when singing a rap song. It’s included in the group of words we never say. I can’t help but wonder if you get points taken off if you don’t say the word. Are there clean edits you can choose instead? Will the KKK begin to play the game at their ralleys?

How about you. Would you sing the word? Would you feel akward if you did? Would you look around to see who is in earshot before choosing the NWA song?
